What were you told about First Nations, Metis, or Inuit People, in your familial upbringing or in school? Would you like to gain a better understanding of some of the issues you hear in social media?
The relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous groups is negative and that reconciliation is needed.
What would you say your challenges are?
Lack of engagement; Non-Indigenous people may not know how to engage with Indigenous causes and communities. They may also not understand their role in reconciliation.
Apathy; Some Canadians may feel indifferent towards Indigenous Peoples, and may not be emotionally engaged.
Perceiving reconciliation as an Indigenous issue; Many people may perceive reconciliation as an Indigenous issue, but it's a Canadian issue.
